Hidden Forest Elephant Reserve

Hidden Forest Elephant Reserve is a private ethical elephant sanctuary, opened in 2023 by Kong and Louise Rogerson, who have spent their lives working in elephant rescue and welfare. The reserve was created as an alternative to tourist shows and animal exploitation - the kind of model increasingly considered the responsible way to experience elephants.

Here, the elephants live freely without riding, forced performances, bathing with visitors, or other staged interactions. Guests observe their natural daily life, feed the elephants, and walk through the sanctuary with a guide who shares each animal’s story and explains how their care and rehabilitation work.
